Hello! My name is Leandra Simone, and I am a singer-songwriter. Making music brings me joy and meaning, and my intention is to offer peace, healing, and beauty through song. I love collaborating with other musicians, and I’m always interested in meeting singers, instrumentalists, and producers.

I grew up listening to artists like Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, Natalie Merchant, Eva Cassidy, and Tracy Chapman. I also draw inspiration from artists like Avi Kaplan, Wailin’ Jennys, KT Tunstall, Sarah Jarosz, The Staves, Iron & Wine, First Aid Kit, and Ray LaMontagne. In 2022, I released my self-produced debut album of original songs called Breathe, which is a mix of folk and jazz.

I am also part of the indie folk duo Cardinal Hearts with my good friend and collaborator Adrienne Bocci-Barrett. Our musical journey together began in a park where we were often visited by a beautiful red cardinal. Cardinals symbolize beauty, hope, and renewal in times of darkness and hardship. It is also said that cardinals appear in our dreams to remind us to follow our hearts. For us, they represent our intention to inspire and heal with our music.
